REBUILDING A WRECKED VOLKSWAGEN GOLF R | PT 1

Todays the day i start working on my Wrecked 2017 MK7 Volkswagen Golf R I bought from salvage from Copart. After seeing some of my favorite YouTubers like Mat Armstrong and BackyardBoyz rebuild them, i decided it would be the perfect car to start my rebuild journey.

Hayden, i repair clusters/car electronics for a living. Just remove the plastic cover from the cluster and simply turn the needle to the right. So anti clock wise untill you are close to zero. Dont pull, just turn it anti clock wise.
You will hear some clicks but that is normal. Engine is fine.

All information is coming from the ECU and is communicated over the CAN network. So if your ears say the engine sounds fine then dont worry.

Radar sensor will need to be coded to the car online. After this car will need 4 wheel alignment and after this you will need to calibrate the radar sensor with a target board :)

Best to just replace the instrument cluster unless your comfortable with taking about the one you have and doing some work to it… keep going you knocking it out 🤝🏾

Hey man. The front radar, and blind spot modules will require calibrations. I do if for a living and it’s something you do Not want to skip!
