I LOVE how Mariah was always the very religious Church girl who wanted to live plural marriage and was against a lot of things and now she's gay and has a tattoo and a nose piercing and wearing shorts and says she's not religious anymore. Her evolution has been fascinating. Go Mariah!

SO so proud of her for being able to be her authentic self and come out to incredibly religious parents. Mariah was always the one adamantly saying she wanted to live plural marriage, my thought is it was overcompensation for how she really felt inside. I hope and I'm sure they'll all come to accept her. I'm sure she's so much happier now that she can be true to herself

The fact she felt comfortable saying that is so, so, so huge. Good for her. I’m not gay, but I can’t imagine what it must be like for people who are and feel like they can’t come out and feel forced to live a lie. My nephew, who is more like a brother to me, is gay and came out a couple years ago—I embraced him with it and told him I was happy he can finally be the person on the outside that he is on the inside. However, it took me a minute to come to terms with it. Looking back at it now it seems ridiculous that I was upset/had to come to terms with someone else’s sexual preference, regardless who it is, and that there’s people who hate others they don’t even know simply because of their choice on who they love. It’s absurd.
