I was looking for way to install decking with hidden screws. There are a lot of options out there but I ended up choosing the Kreg Deck Jig. It took some time but in the end I was pleased with the results.

I used a CAMO on my deck there was no pre drilling for the CAMO screws . You really don’t have to space the pressure treated lumber it will shrink . CAMO has a spacing adjustment right on the tool.

Thank you for the heads up on the slipping. Getting ready to install ours and you made a nice high quality video with good details. Thanks again!

The problem I see is pressure treated shrinks so that1/ 8 inch gap that you have close to quarter inch. by the time it comes to following year the gap is close to a 1/4 inch. I like to clamp the boards as tight as possible. Then use trim head screws at a 45 degree angle cut from a 2x4 . . You will need several.. good review!!

I don't know why I didn't think of a separate drill and driver. Swapping the bits and adjusting the torque would really slow things down!
I do wonder if the pockets hold water, though. I'm considering sealing them with candle wax but if it goes wrong it could make the water problem worse.

Looks good. Just thinking when you have to replace a board finding the screws

Good review I think the screws are high up and visible so if you need to do maintenance underneath the deck

Looks good, thinking of getting the Kreg jig for when I replace my deck this year. Looked at camo system and looks like they are all time consuming unless you spend several hundred bucks for a fancy system. Good job!

Good real world demo. Would have liked too see the finished project. My only questions are how, with only securing one side of the boards will it be more likely to bow or warp over the long run, and if they could have integrated a spacer on the opposite side in some way too stabilize it when securing it. Good video.

Anybody use this on thicker 2x6 decking? I'm repairing an old dock and the original build used 2x6 for strength. Thoughts?

This was my concern with all of these jigs that allow you to screw in to the side... that you can still see the screws. They don’t seem like they’re really hidden.

You need to have 2 drivers. What if you only have one? Yikes.
