The Aadhaar law doesn't allow the police to access core biometrics for a reason. Disclosing core biometric data to state agencies opens a perilous window of misuse by the state itself to target political opponents. It should be avoided at all costs.

The quality of data in aadhar should be improved so that it is suitable for forensic purposes. The tech that UIDAI has must also be upgraded to simplify the retrieval of data. And UIDAI should help police with their investigations, however the use of this data must be limited by law.

If the UIDAI data is not useful for this kind of cases then what is the use of it, in such cases where police needs the data of criminals UIDAI should provide it.

Tks for ur informative video. However, would like to add that UIDAI is capable of identifying IRIS Data not only 1:1, but 1:n data. Only by using this capability of UIDAI, no one can get multiple Aadhaar, as IRIS Data clarifies that this is duplicate application. I know few illiterate persons applied fresh Aadhaar twice / thrice, as they had not received Aadhaar card even once. Then UIDAI asked applicant to choose one of the three applications for issue of Aadhaar Card. This episode is about five years old and I personally dealt it.

I think UIDAI should update its technology and a third unit should be created to make a contact between POLICE and UIDAI.

इसका मतलब यदि आपके पास कोई आधार no है तो आप उसकी सत्यता जानने के लिए बायोमेट्रिक डाटा use कर सकते हैं। जिससे नाम और एड्रेस जैसी जानकारी प्राप्त हो सकती हैं। मतलब दोनों होना जरूरी है आधार no और बायोमेट्रिक डाटा (आपका हाथ और आंख) तभी आधार use कर सकते हैं। इसीलिए SIM card लेने, आधार से पैसा निकालने और बैंक जैसी सेवा में दोनों डाटा जरूरी होता है सिर्फ एक से काम नहीं चलता इसीलिए यदि कोई काम ऐसा हैं जिसमें आधार जरूरी हो ऑथिंटिकेशन (सत्यता जानने के लिए) के लिए वहां आपका बायोमेट्रिक डाटा जरूर लिया जाता है सिर्फ एक से काम नहीं चलता। (कोविड सर्टिफिकेट अपवाद यहां आपका सिर्फ डेमोग्राफिक डाटा लिया गया था।)
मतलब यदि पुलिस को उसका आधार no पता चलता है तो फिंगर प्रिंट की मदद से नाम और पता भी पता चल सकता है।

मेरे ख्याल में HC ने सही फैसला दीया है। क्यों की पुलिश जैसा सोचा रही है, (automatching) उस तरह की व्यवस्था uidai के पास है ही नहीं।

UIDI ko data provide karna chahiye taki atleast case ko ek direction to di ja sake.
Bhale hi court mein uidi ke biometric data ko solid proof na mana jaye, par us data se jo log shortlist kiye jayenge(assuming ki wo fingerprint ek se zyada logo ke sath match kiya hai) unse direct 'Forensic Level' biometric data collect kiya ja sakta hai.

Can't UIDAI or govt. For that matter imagine how strong law enforcement can be with sharing of such data... ofcourse with court's which ultimately helps people of this country...

No UIDAI ko apna confidencialty mentain krke rakhana chahiye.
It may be helpful for someone but sharing data with police can be a big consequence in long term.
