Otis hypercharge is bugged.
His star power that gives extra projectile does not work while he is hypercharged, meaning he shoots 3 ammo instead of 4.
Thats sad since it means while hyperchaged otis deals a bit less damage and only reason to use it for now is speed boost.

After testing these HCs;
S tier - Penny - Do I even need to explain this? She hides her turret + it has a lot of health, and getting that control from cannonballs and fire is really strong.
A tier - Ruffs - The potential of it is really strong, but I didn't play with it too much so can't really tell so far.
A tier - 8-bit - This was the most surprising one for me. a) Stat boosts are insane for 8-bit, b) the turret actually has more health than a non-HC one, c) The accuracy of that turret is INSANE. It literally hits more than 90% of its shots at full turret area (boosted booster one).
A/B tier - Stu - I was worried about cycling it, but you can easily get 2 of these per match, and it's really strong with gaso-heal.
B tier - Darryl - auto-charging and super gain from the projectiles is really good, but it's quite underwhelming besides that. Still good enough to make him one of the best brawlers.
Unranked - Otis - I have 2 observations about this one, with the 2nd one making it unfair to even judge its strength. a) The silence actually adds after stun, so you get 1.5s stun and 3s silence, not 1.5s stun and 1.5s silence. b) It's bugged as hell. The stun isn't even a stun, it stops you from moving and shooting, but for example, frank's, bibi's or Carl's abilities aren't interruped by the star for some reason, meaning that if a frank supers you and you throw the HC super to prevent him from stunning you, his super will just finish as if the HC was nothing and you'll die.
Edit: Otis' HC also makes his attack shoot 3 projectiles per ammo, regardless of having a star power or not.

If the otis hypercharge bug gets fixed, his hypercharge would be the most underrated hypercharge in the game (the bug is when the hypercharge is activated he shoots 3 projectiles instead of 4 regardless of the star power you have on).

For me the best in this hypercharge batch in pro scene is definitely doggie hypercharge, but as a solo player the top 3 gotta be Darryl boy, Penny, and Stu. Darryl getting another super is actually underated and penny in heist/zone/brawl ball gonna be awesome, stu the turn over potential in like gem grab/ zone might be craazy

I'm not sure if you have noticed it but otis second sp doesn't work when hypercharge is active

Damage boost from hc isn't enough to compensate for the loss of 4th projectile.

4 projectiles deal 3680 damage total
while 3 with damage boost deal 3450 damage

Otis stun is good but its not creative at all. What if instead of stun, the starfish DRAINS the enemy’s ammo, supercharge, and hypercharge after the silence has worn off. Maybe -1 gadget as well for the hell of it idk (maybe too far lol). I mean to charge it so long and just have stun seems disappointing?

4:40 correct Spen, the shield boosts do not stack… they only apply the most recently used one (they don’t stack nor are they even multiplicative, it doesn’t even override with the highest value, just only applies the most recently used bubble.)

So no, it won’t be good even with that, it’s better to use rolling reload with that HC.

10:08 I thought the same but there's a catch. You can grab a power-up only once. So the brawler that grabbed it cannot get another hypercharge untill he's dead 🙂. Same with ruffs and literally any brawler

The best strategy would be with colette. Use hypercharge super -> die -> farm super -> grab hypercharge power-up -> use hypercharge super and continue the cycle

I think the ranking should be:

1. Ruffs
2. Penny
3. Stu
4. Darryl
5. Otis
6. 8- bit

4th and 5th are interchangeable

i already bought darryl's one and it's actually not as bad as you think, you get increased shield + the hypercharge bullets that shoot actually do some damage (like 1k) if you line it up properly (better than nothing)

edit: the shield doesn't stack w/ star power lol

I think it's better to activate your Darryl hyper AFTER you use your first super so that it actually charges super? Idk maybe I could be wrong gotta test it out more D tier nonetheless I agree
