This console looks like it came straight out of a retro sci-fi movie… but I built it from scratch using a transparent OLED screen, a custom 3D-printed shell, and an Arduino-compatible board. It runs games like Pong, Snake, and Tic Tac Toe. A simple yet super cool project!

I also made mine recently. Almost exactly the same, except I used WaveShare RP2040 Zero, 0.9in SSD1306, 4 way and A/B buttons, a speaker from an old phone, and an old Samsung battery (800 or 650mAh, I don't remember, and I can't check since the label is covered). I used two 6x4in prototype board sandwiched together as the "shell", since I don't have a 3D printer. Tho, the outcome is pretty neat, and it's compact but a bit thick, especially with the battery is just hanging behind the console. I also made the microcontroller's USB port accessible and I rewired a button to the BOOT button, so I can update the code easily without disassembling it. I'm currently writing games for it and a simple game launcher so I can easily write more games later on, but I already tested it a snake game someone made. I made some modifications to the game. The pins and button configuration, I added three difficulties and the scoring depends on the difficulty level. Overall, it's pretty fun to make, and I'm happy with the outcome.

Games like Star Space, Simon Says, Dhoom, Flappy Bird, and others would be awesome additions. Please consider upgrading the project with these features.
