It would have been nice to have metric hook sizes to match the weights of yarn. I just bought a set in metric sizes and the are not stamped with the US sizes.

Even though I am American, and the letter and number sizes are stamped on most of my hooks, I find the mm size to be the most accurate and simple to understand.
