Ironically, for probably one of the most helpful videos on this frustrating matter, the erroneous "forward slash" is actually a "*_backslash_*".
For those that like to copy and paste... Alt F9... followed by \# "0.00" making sure there is a space between the backslash and the pound (hashtag) symbol.
