It’s not about the amount of progress they’re making. It was originally an open company, all of their work was open source, Altman had extremely commercialized it, which is not the best thing for humanity, it’s the best thing for OpenAIs own profits, which they’re not even supposed to have. Musk made all of Teslas patents open source, they’re even letting everyone into their charging network, I think bro just actually cares about the mission, and sees how’s Altmans commercialization is getting in the way of that mission.

This is absolutely a valid and important lawsuit. AI has been heinously misused for too long, the benefits of it are being massively outpaced by the disadvantages. It needs to be regulated, it’s far past due for that.

I think it has to do with Sam Altman turning what was supposed to be a non-profit that furthers progress, into a for-profit company that sells Artificial Intelligence products.

Honestly, people are saying ChatGPT is scary or AI. But not really if anything it’s still pretty basic considering it’s number one at times pretty dumb. And often has trouble even understanding things that are manually complex and hack from personal experience. It will still violate basic rules. You’re trying to convey it, which makes sense since it is primarily meant to interpret language. The only real thing impressive about it is that it’s open to the public.
