FLCL was part of the reason I failed training for what could have been the best job of my life. And The Pillows were the real reason I cared about FLCL. It was *absolutely worth it, * and the company went under new management a few years later and that best job would have become a living hell. Thanks, Pillows! You saved me!

Good old Naota Nandaba. Not only did he succeed where Neon Genesis Evangelion's Shinji Ikari failed (moving on and acceptance, for two abstracts), but also becoming the Pirate King in just six episodes compared to Monkey D. Luffy in... how many non-filler eps does One Piece have as of January 31, 2023?


Helps that he most likely influenced the likes of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan's Simon the Digger, Kill la Kill's Ryuko Matoi, and Little Witch Academia's Atsuko "Akko" Kagari.
