To disable the non-verizon sim notification, you can just hold it down on the notification screen until "app info" pops up. Then from there you click force stop, rather than going through all the settings to get there.

Great video...this works!!! I called Verizon and AT&T for help with setting up my At&t SIM card to use with a Verizon phone and they were both clueless. This saved me time in both stores.

This actually does work HALF WAY. You have to make sure the APN settings for your carrier are properly installed then it works perfect. The global setting worked for me with the Family mobile APN settings. Thanks for the video.

I took this phone to the store ask how much will it cost to switch cricket to Verizon phone and he said $150, but after watching the first 5 min. I was able to put a black listed phone to work, u are amazing thank u

I also have the Verizon Note 3. I had h2o service which uses ATT and it worked perfect. I just changed to Simple Mobile which uses T-mobile and I get NO signal. I tried everything....Global mode, GMS mode, APN and even MASTER RESET. Nothing seems to work.  Even Tried an original T-mobile sim and it just seems like its locked for T-mobile....I thought this was an UNLOCKED global phone.
Any suggestions?

Thank u so so much smallworldapps it really worked and all I had to do was put my T-Mobile sim card in then go to settings and put gsm/umts ur the best I already subscribed u and thank u so much now I can use my T-Mobile sim on my Verizon

it worked perfectly, just one problem, my note 3 is on version 5.1 already and when i go to setup wizard and force it to stop so the message wont be on my notifications it doesnt work i still have the notification

Acutally work to make calls but data wasnt working.. so i went into the settings and add my cellular companys apn, proxy name settings etc.. and THEN the data worked fine.. dont forget to restart the phone after adding it

The galaxy s4 I bought won't send SMS. I just put it on Craigslist. This is not a solve all. Every SMS says failed. But the phone will receive SMS, do 4glte, make and receive calls. Will not allow one to send SMS however.

Yes the non Verizon sim thing went away but I still can not update. My phone how do I fix that?
