That's what happens when the said animal was the first to ever be domesticated. It's atleast 30000 years worth of evolution that these animals have gone through to be what they are today. From the wolf who lived in the wilderness, to the dogs who live with humans and work with/for them, this is an insane story

In all seriousness, I totally agree. I like cats, but when someone says they don't like dogs or they're "more of a cat person, " I immediately become suspicious of them.

I've told people for the past decade that there is scientific evidence that cats do not care about humans outside of immediate survival benefits, while dogs are, at a baseline level, actively social and symbiotic with humans regardless of or even in opposition to their sense of self preservation.

My two doggies, are my family. Shit I talk to them like another person. They pick up on my moods. I take them everywhere. If I don't like you they tell you for me to fu^k off, if your my buddy they will hug you and give you attention so I don't have too. My pups are great

I agree they’re the best pets in that they give the most, and the relationship you have with them is the deepest. But I do think for many people a cat or even an ‘easier’ pet than that is the choice. A lot of people do end up with a problem on their hands with a pet dog, and by that definition maybe they’re not the ‘best’
