Chili! Make chili first! That's our go-to with new pots. Granted, only the steel ones, and we've had 3 for almost a decade, but it's also our go-to for first home-cooked meal in the new house because of how easy it is.

Something that irks me when people talk about things being free of heavy metals is how many people don’t actually understand what heavy metals are.

Iron, copper, and aluminum, the most common metals we use for cookware, ARE heavy metals.

I understand that when people talk about heavy metals as something to avoid they are typically referring to cadmium, lead, mercury, and arsenic, but it does bother me that yet another term that has a specific meaning is being used to market items with little to no connection to what that meaning is.

Looking forward to your future reports (even if only on shorts) on how they are working out for you. Did the box say if they work on induction stoves?

I have a portable single burner hob made by NuWave that permits you to set wattage draw to either 600w, 900w, or 1300w, which is important if you are using 12v battery power stations instead of propane or butane out car camping. I have one 8” pan that works with it, but am searching for a small 1 liter sauce pan because I want to replace 40 year old small one in kitchen that may have that nasty old stick lining. The search continues.

Serious question, you are worried about health and the planet, but you dye your hair which is bad for both. I see this a lot and always wondered why. I'm truly curious because in my brain there is a huge disconnect, what am I missing.
