I like how most people suffering from frenzied flame are depicted as in total agony, ripping their eyes out or frozen in an expression of horror, but the Lord (whether this guy or the player) seems to be having an absolute blast

I feel like our version of frenzied flame in the ending was a way stronger presence since we burned the entire world in its flame. But this guy seems to be a close second to Elden Lord of Frenzied Flame.

The whole journey of even getting to this guy was one of the best parts of the expansion

Me, accidentally discovering the abyssal woods while dungeon crawling: “I feel like I shouldn’t be here.”

Me while the game is warning me not to continue and deprives me of Torrent: “Well this is horrifying and it’s not going to be a good time.”

Me when I find the Manse and get warned again not to continue: “I completely understand, I need to get out of here like yesterday.”

Me facing the boss and him scolding me for not listening:
“I know, right? I literally have a problem or something, you warned me like 80 times.”

Me, getting pummeled mercilessly by Sauron Lite: “Honestly I deserve it, I was warned like 80 times.”

Something I love about Midra and his long string of suffering, is what he represents as a character. It is a common optimistic principle that constant persistence can eventually lead to prosperity. However, in the case of Midra, persistence only lead to more and more suffering, a curse to bear. However, when he stops persisting and instead embraces his suffering, he becomes more powerful than any one person could imagine. The name Midra even means “to hold celestial qualities, not yet seen.” Feels like his story is a clever inverse of that principle of always persevering and in a way acknowledges the negative interpretation of it.

That guard boost is unreal. I tried the same idea, but without min maxing. It did not end well.

EDIT: Managed it! I gave myself and mimic the greatshield. My job was to spam erdtree heal and keep mimic alive. It worked in about 10 attempts.

i remember seeing this Boss and that "after the shoulder pose"... Literally went "Is his head going to turn on fire?" And Not a second later is does. Pure hype.
