Dude this video helped me so much. I couldn't find any simple beginner videos and this is the simplest explanation video I've ever seen. Thank you so much!

I found some very old transistors in my father's things with no information about them online. This helped me use them. Thank you!

Very well done! I had a few obsolete transistors on a board I was repairing. I needed to replace one, but the available datasheets were contradictory as to the BCE pinout. I removed a good one and checked it as you described. I was able to determine the correct pinout and be confident a suitable replacement was installed correctly. Big THANKS.

Super helpful, your hand might be shaking, and thats why you might get unclear readings . Get it still and it would work

Can you explain why the emitter voltage drop is always higher? It's 2 diodes you are measuring... if I measure a bunch of diodes I often do not get a guaranteed voltage drop... some higher, some lower. Are you implying they build each transistor knowing the emitter diode voltage drop will always be higher? That doesn't seem right. Is there any documentation that backs this up?

Hi Sir, it's same for PNP transistor too? Emitter is higher than Collector.
