If you install the turbine lower inside that tube you will generate more power. I am a civil engineer working in the hydropower sector and I absolutely approve of this. Hats off to you sir.

I'm particularly appreciative of the guard rails. Wouldn't want anything falling to their doom whilst crossing the dam, no matter how tiny they must be

I was born in the early 80's, so I grew up in the last American generation prior to the advent of the cell phone or internet. We lived in the country and had a small creek in the backyard. We'd build all kinds of things into that stream over the years. That was a regular hangout spot after school for years with our friends. If we'd have had access to this vid, we'd have built at least one!!

I love that he is committed making it a miniature complete with tiny rails, tiny road, tiny bridges and a led strip.

This may not be an entirely sober thought, but imagine how much faster we could build cities if we had giants doing the work.

Had a friend in the late 70s do a very simplified version of this. He set up a paddlewheel/generator/battery system on the creek that ran through his property. He also built a small cottage/bunkhouse and powered all the necessary utilities with with the set up. It was pretty ingenious, but this is as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional. Brilliant. Cheers from New Zealand! 🇳🇿

The amount of great work being done in sandals or loafers around the world is tremendous.

I love the fact that at least about 9.5 million people have shared in their childhood experience of dreaming about building a dam in the backyard...

*The effort put in it is incredible!* 👍

These videos are the only ones I will shut up and just watch. No silly background music, no unnecessary explanation of what you will or have done, just a solid 15 minutes of hydro-electric dam construction!

Please don't stop making these!!

Just imagine how many useful structures a giant can build in a few days😊

The attention to detail in tying the 'rebar' was satisfying. Especially with that little hand held device to expedite the process.

This kind of sophistication, even on such a small scale requires a certain level of knowledge, hats off to you man. It looks fantastic!

In 60 years, someone will use the ruins of this project as evidence for a long lost civilization of micro-humans.

What en engineering marvel at a miniature level. What a patient job. Explains the concept of Hydro power so easily. Super Impressive 🙌👏😊👍

I love this guy's thought out projects and his attention to details. As a youngster many of us dreamed of building stuff like this and did the best we could with what we had. As an adult and many many years gone by and behind me from those care free days, I would love to have the time to do hobby projects like this. I wouldn't care if my wife of 25 years or the neighbors thought I'd lost my marbles and wanted me to see the doctor. I'd love being a big kid. Keep building and doing what you enjoy.
