I haven't been to my local thrift stores in a while. Why? Because over the last year or so, they started selling terrible quality clothes. It's either Shien or Shien-type clothes. The rest are no-name brands, made out of horrible polyester. If you find a Mango or H&M piece for a reasonable price, you're lucky. It wasn't likethat a year ago. I could find vintage or even higher end brands for a relatively low price.
Last week, I went back to the thrift store after two or three months. I needed a bag for work. Couldn't find anything, so I settled on a faux leather bag for 25 bucks. You could find real leather a year ago!

Thrifting since 1987 when I was 22 😅 lol yes I listen to a garment and some man made stuff feels so fake it send shivers 😂
Seriously though, wonderful educational video! I take for granted the things I learned as a young girl and as a thrifting 20 some year old when thrifting had so much unbelievable quality.
Now more than ever, we should all be taking good care of the wonderful quality clothing we already own so that we can continue wearing them for many more years.
Hope you do a follow up video on garment care, handwashing, ironing etc with a discussion on how many items that say Dry Clean Only can actually be washed on gentle and steamed to perfection.
I have wool, silk, and otherwise blazers that are 20-30 years old and never go to the dry cleaners.

Great list. Items like buttonholes or quality of the post on a jean are things i take for granted. Surface mounted shank buttons are my pet peeve. When I see a double breasted blazer with one column of buttoned shank buttons facing forward and the surface mounted column drooping and facing the floor, I find it very annoying. And i don't understand how other people dont even notice. It's so o easy tofiwith a little hand sewing. Oy!
On blazer lining, I now need blazers tobe machine washable and I dont mind trading breathability for easy care. No more dry cleaners. Lifestyle over style!
Skirt linings that don't hang well, are uneven or fall slightly aboe the outer fabric do look cheap, BUT, the example you showed was an intentional knee length linning under maxi length stretch lace. It's a style I really like in summer.
An important point missing is fabric pilling. Most pilling fabrics are cheap but a few are expensive. Either way pilling fabrics requite a maintenance commitment to shave the pills off. It's something to evaluate prior to a purchase.
Overall, this video is informative and entertaining. Well done!
