It highly depends on application. Recreational warm water dive doing a few dives a few every few months may appreciate the candy color array of hose options and easy stowing of the MyFlex hose.

However the tech diving community highly favors the standard rubber hose because they are heavier in the water making it easier to do practice drills. The standard black rubber hose is less floaty and easier to manage in the water making for a more streamlined dive configuration. Also the MyFlex braided exterior sheath could over time wear down your drysuit as apposed to a smooth exterior of the rubber hose.
