Realty Income (O REIT) is one of the most popular REITs for individual investors because it has a great track record. Its main peers are NNN REIT, Agree Realty, and Essential Properties Realty Trust. My mom teaches special ed, and after i see some of the comments, I think i should clarify what this video is all about, in simpler terms.
Let s say Jimmy works at Starbucks, and after getting paid, he likes to eat ice cream once per week. A few months ago, Jimmy could get a chocolate ice cream for 4$ and a vanila ice cream for 3.5$. Chocolate ice cream tastes much yum yum than vanilla, so it is worth an extra 50 cents. Now, the chocolate ice cream is 8$, and vanilla 4$. The chocolate ice cream is still more yum yum, but Jimmy realizes he can buy 2 vanilla ice creams instead of 1 chocolate. So Jimmy can eat ice cream twice per week. Is not his favorite, but Jimmy likes to eat ice cream twice per week more than he likes chocolate flavor.

I have been buying reality income every month, and when it was at 47 I more then doubled my position in the stock.

Great news, thanks for sharing ADC awhile back after looking into Agree I found some stores local to me that I enjoy visiting, so I acquired a position in ADC earlier this year. I hold a large position in O and VICI also.

I entered O in March and April, and I'm sitting on a 16% gain, plus dividends. You can say there were better opportunities out there, but I'm not complaining at all.

Buying O now....after a big jump up? This is a little late to the party. Still a solid company and the rate cuts have already been factored in to an extent.

Realty income is my biggest position, bought at $ 47. Actually my best performer right now. Not planning to add to it though

If anything, it proves there were better REITs than “O” out there and they’ve now outperformed “O”.
We can now return to focus on “O” until it catches up.

Thanks to you I got to know ADC which I bought right before of the increase, and this is my biggest holding at this moment in time. In fact I also bought O when it crushed as I always wanted to enter O but never found the right moment before.

I believe Realty's size will also help it if we were to get a recession, and if we don't have a recession, it will still yield a good return 🙂

I made about $7, 000 (~ 26%) from your video (and research on adc). I too am waiting for the cap gain to kick in to diversify the gains into other plays. (Liked as usual) Thank you as always Jussi.

Thank you Jussi for your excellent work and presentation! Your todays Realty Income-argumentation in comparison to Agree Realty is understandable. (Nonetheless I did never agree with your former attitude about Realty Income). In the last few months I bought some american REITS: Realty Income, Vinci, Mid America Apartment, W.P. Carey, EPR, NNN and Alexandria. --- I am still missing your dog in the videos... 😉 Greetings from Germany.

so he doesn't like it after a drop and consolidation around $50 ... BUT THEN likes it once it's rallied 10%+ in a month BUY High SELL Low the 'muhhh analyst' method ehhh

I was buying O/ADC 50/50 since about April but I stopped in August with the higher prices. Same as you, holding due to taxes and honestly their both good companies that pay so not a big deal.

REITs rose quite fast, some of them got away. O provides another chance to get one at a good price.
