I think Sony put low effort in the mini because they know it will be busted wide open. Looking forward to the ROM hacks too.

I got my PS TV a few years ago for 60$, still much cheaper than the PS Classic. It's absolutely amazing once you hack it to play PS1 games, which is very easy to do. You can even move the PS1 save games from the PS TV to a PS3, then to a real memory card if you have a memory card adapter.

I got the PS TV when it was on clearance for less than list price. Then the hacks came out, and everyone wanted it. The PSP is more affordable now, and it's more compatible with the PSN store PS1 games (without hacking, that is).

Why didn't they just do this. Litterally it would have cost them less then a $1 to put in a ps one style case. These is what the ps classic should have been

Not excited for it. I have PS 1 emulator on my Android with better selection of games plus you can download cheats.

Ps1 mini has 16gb of data space, consider that people before waiting for it to be hacked.
Ofcourse it also has usb ports, so we will see.

nice video and awesome music from mgs 1 but i do not need buy ps1 i'm not care becuse i have ps1 original unboxing i can put same these games in my phone and more ...no more fucking mini retro we need see ps5 ..sony just want nintendo

sure, in this day it's mandatory to mod. These idiot companies won't make the software we want to go with cool hardware, and then the controllers are a joke, can't recreate psycho mantis without rumble, and analog was a fun feature for the 3d games, especially driving.

I would like to see more versions of these classic systems with different game selections. I am already aware of the gold Famicom Mini with 50 anime games, but I’d like to see stuff like a NES classic that resembles the toploader, with 35 games, some from the previous NES classic, some that weren’t there before!

for me i like the vita tv you can add more ps1 games when you hack it and if you have a vita 1000 and slim vita 2000 you have a ps 1 classic portable
