For a long time my favorite was Aliens, but over the years my ranking has ended up changing quite a bit. My number one these days would be Prometheus followed by Alien Covenant, Alien, Aliens, Alien Resurrection, AVP, Alien 3, and then AVP requiem bringing up the rear. I haven't seen Romulus yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

I think you hit it praticaly spot-on on your rankings. I'd just just bump up Alien 3 above Alien Resurrection.

Great vid dude. I havent seen all the alien films. So my ranking so far is.
1. Aliens
2.Romulus
3. Alien
4. Alien Resurrection.

Definitely want to see the rest. Especially Prometheus. Sounds like a movie I will love

Nice ranking, would you ever consider also ranking the 20th Century Fox Alien anthology shorts they released for the 40th anniversary? All 6 are only around 10 mins each so it would be really cool to share which ones you felt captured that Alien magic vs which ones fell short for you.

I thought Romulus was dimly lit like AvP 2. Was it a screen problem or were you guys able to see? I couldn't tell what tf I was looking at most the time.

This is a pretty damn good ranking Sully. As long as Alien is number 1, we good. The impact that movie had on horror and science fiction can never go unnoticed.

Prometheus and Covenant were just awful movies. Only good thing that came out of them is David the android, but everything else is a bore fest that even contradicts the Alien lore at times. I would just tie both movies with Alien 3 and Resurrection at the very bottom. AvP is also bad, but at least it's entertaining. Romulus was ok, but it has nothing on either Alien or Aliens.

If anyone is new to the franchise I would just tell em to watch the first 2, maybe Romulus if they need more Alien in their system. Everything else is throwaway, pretentious garbage.
