Amber Heard's petition to be removed from the DC Universe has surpassed 3 million signatures.
Fans' attempts to have Amber Heard removed from the Aquaman 2 film failed.

On Deadline's Hero Nation podcast, Peter Safran, who has worked on several Warner Bros. films, including superhero films like The Suicide Squad and Shazam!, was interviewed.

He made it clear that the studio would not respond in that way to "pure fan pressure."

"To be honest, I don't think we'll ever respond to pure fan pressure.
You must decide what is best for the film.
If it's going to be James Wan and Jason Momoa, we think it should be Amber Heard. That's exactly what happened, "Safran explained.

Safran went on. "You have to do what you think is best for the movie, and that's where we ended up."
