The only final boss theme that still gives me chills every time I hear it. Especially right when 1:53 hits. I wish this game had been more popular, because it really is a unique title that we won't likely see again.

This boss theme just perfectly portrays the idea of fighting a robot that's consumed some sort of space magic perfectly. Few boss themes actually give you that feeling of "If I lose here, that's it for the world" like The Core does. Remaster this game, Sega.

I just listened to this for the first time in forever and realized a few things:
1. I just found out that there is no type of bassline in this track, other than the low synth that's playing through majority of the song.
2. Without the electronic rhythm section and the synth bass, this would sound like a piece from a movie score.
3. This track remains amazing to me since the last time I've listened to this.

*The Core* of *Astral Babylon* is actually at the edge of the *Mobius Strip.*

when I first played the game, I didn't know what a mobius strip was, so when I saw the stage's name was "Mobius Strip" I thought the stage itself was the world being torn apart into a literal strip and was condensing until it would eventually implode in on itself if I didn't kill this monstrosity. I mean, Wasn't too far off, but still cool to think about
