Lockdown Learning: 11 - Editing audio in Cubase Elements

In this video I show the first steps in editing audio events in the project window in Cubase Elements, following on from the previous video on using the loop browser. Altering the pitch and timing of events and creating simple crossfades to smooth transitions allows the creation of an audio part that will fit with your arrangement and sound convincing without pops and cracks.

This series is my tiny attempt to get people doing something productive while being in lockdown at home - learning how to create music using Steinberg's Cubase Elements, which has a 60-day free trial available as part of the #StayHome initiative:

If you feel this series has been useful to you (and you can do so), please support me by purchasing the full version of my book:

As with many other freelancers around the world, I have no work on my books for the next few months, so every purchase will be appreciated - even though there is currently a long delivery delay (understandably) on Amazon.

Thanks!

I’ve been a Cubase user since version 1.0. And I highly enjoy your series. Lovely.

When you have flattened the arranger chord track can you transpose parts of it to play an octave higher? Thanks 😊
