Can low can the p trap below the drain pipe? I want to add a section of pipe for a dishwasher connection but I would need to lower the p trap. Will this affect the way the sink drains?

in Chapter 10 of 2024 UPC Section 1003.3 Size says The size of a trap for a given fixture shall be sufficient to drain the fixture rapidly but in no case less than nor more than one pipe size larger than given in Table 702.1. BUT then the next sentence reads, "The trap shall be the same size as the trap arm to which it is connected." Based on this code, if you have a kitchen sink stub out that is 2" PVC, it is in compliance of code to install an 1-1/2" trap without replacing the entire trap arm to 1-1/2? The way that I interpret this is, it's basically saying that the trap SHOULD (or does "shall" mean must?) be the same size as the trap arm, however can be 1 pipe size larger than the trap arm, but never smaller, is this correct? Thanks

Can a P Trap be moved away from under the sink to further down the line, say 9 feet? What is the inclination? Will it work and what would be the issues with this install, including code?Thanks...

I have a situation where a 2” trap arm will have to travel 18 FEET (4-1/2” of total drop) before it hits the 90° santee into a main stack. Would I be ok if I place an AAV somewhere on the arm within 8’ of the trap?

The distance regarding, if the trap is really close to the vertical drain. The distance is from the trap weir to the vertical T weir in the pipe.
