@MJMyrna Being that I AM a professional, my 'professional' opinion is that if you are hearing the guitar louder than the vocals, then there is something either fundamentally wrong with your speakers, or there is a frequency gap in your hearing. The mix of this song is excellent. It IS a 'Rock Song', where the vocals wouldn't be mixed as forward in the mix as they would be in say, a country song, but the vocal is still where it should be, and far from 'lost' in the music.

@KenWoLf31 For a mix to be good it needs to sound balanced at high and low volumes, and on big and small speakers. Any professional can tell you that.

@MJMyrna Actually, I'm listening to this on my studio set-up with KRK Rokit 6's and a KRK 10S subwoofer, and it sounds VERY good!! I'd suggest maybe it is YOU that needs better speakers. :)

@KenWoLf31 I am also a professional. I have my hearing tested regularly so there is nothing wrong with it. I have won awards for my productions and Tom Cochrane, Joe Walsh, and Steve Tyler all have my work. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on this.

The mixing engineer should have used some smaller speakers for his near field monitors. Guitar is louder than vocal. And this isn't Chris Tomlin.
