I spent about 2 weeks with this game (254 attempts) and initially tried to find a way to easily identify where the Super Lasers are. The game seems to produce a volume of seeds each time you turn it on. You can map these seeds and keep resetting until you see them again but the next time you turn on your NES you may not see your mapped seeds even after many resets. What I ended up doing was to just map a couple seeds that had good Space Station layouts and just reset and land at the closest planet if it wasn't a mapped seed.

After some practice the combat becomes much easier than it originally seems to be, low thrust and slowing slightly when the enemy is matching your speed as well as an immediate focus on the Mother Ships is key.

It's unfortunate that the game mechanic of slowly searching 8 planets to find 1 item hurts this game both casually and as a speed game because it's a lot of fun when you get a run going.

This was played on an Original NES with a Powerpak flash cart and a Brick Controller.

Lol. That last enemy squad didn't advance too fast there towards the end. Probably because you were serving up some piping-hot ass-kicking! Very well done.

One of the worst NES games. Good play through.
