Hi ! In your video is clearly seen same problem, what i first day in Formula board had, unti i nail it, what's need to be do different way in Formula gybe. The longboard or oldschool slalom board you have to be turn your board from one tack to other much more, before flip a sail. The reason is that longboard are usually narrow and have longer waterline that'' s why it not turn so easy, if have slow speed. In Formula is different. In gybe you need to turn board only half way (board nose only in downwind) and then flip the sail. Formula board is short and wide, so when you release the back hand (or boom hand) and flip your sail, the board continued same time turn quickly in opposite direction, (nose upwind). In next, when you grab again a boom you find, that board nose is almost completely upwind, so it's a lottery, if falling over nose or can recover situation.

U in good shape man..!! I don´t know how u can deal with these big sails nowadays..I´m quiting on these. As long as u have a a good amount of wind smaller says will be better and less tiring...

You have dialed into that board quickly. Looks like you could stomp up wind with it
