If the ticks are still coming up the baggy open pant leg, put leggings underneath the baggy pants. So actually you’ll be stepping into a pair of leggings but on the outside it looks like a baggy pair of pants.

To keep ticks away, you need to tuck your pants into socks. Looks odd, but ticks climb up from short grass and wide flappy pants like these are about the worse you can wear as they would shake the grass more. Also, light colours are preferable because you can spot ticks that have already attached. Apply tick repellent on clothes before you go, too.
Otherwise, so cute! Would be great for tick - free areas 😁🌲
