And if we used a harder ball in this test (a .44 COR or high-compression softball), most ASA bats would break since they're meant to hit a softer ball and compress more. The only ASA bats we've found that can hit a harder ball effectively are the DeMarini Juggy/Mercy and the Anarchy X-Core bats (that would also be an interesting test for another time).

I believe your one-piece Genesis (220) had higher EV than the two-piece Genesis. Would have been interesting to see that comparison! I know the 240 compression is what conference players have to use today, but most of us rec players can still use 220 bats.

Absolute BEAST! If you walk up to the plate with a Torch and I'm pitching... I'm walking back to the dugout.

Thanks for this. We argue about this all the time amongst the boys. My argument is that the bats are tuned for the balls. Tech matches up better

Thank you for this! I have argued this with so many and they just wouldn’t listen. Great job

Thank you for this review! All the leagues I play in use 52s and we can hit any utrip or ASA bat. Would love to see a broken in failing 220 bat versus a monsta

Great video as usual, Will.

One thing though - don’t be sleeping on those 240 axe models. The one I swing from unicorn I have on video hitting an evil 52 bp ball in live pitch 108 mph. I also swung it in the unicorn draft over the monstas and it was raking. It’s not for everyone though but for some it will be a better option than an asa bat especially if it’s colder temps.

So if you keep hitting with the Usssa bat will it eventually be as hot as the other bat considering it will lose compression

Incredible 107MPH. I had 2017 BMan best bat every. Shark tooth after 18 months. USA Sinister cracked after 1 season 3 league nights maybe 150 swings not as hot. M4 paint chips after 10 swings hot a/f but cracked after 50 swings. Hopefully M5/M6 solved any issues. I Will😀 for sure swoop up a torch M2 before they discontinue.

You see, that's the thing though, the ball makes a huge difference. I'm sure a lot of people will misunderstand this and think that a monsta will outperform usssa bats in general, but just like the old school 00s alloy bats, the ball can make or break it. Back in the 80s, a softball was the same compression as a baseball, 500-550. I'd like to see you do this with a usssa ball even for one hack just to help the people understand the differences. That being said, Monsta OWNS asa. They've basically hacked the bbs test
