So I finally did it...I completed the 12-3-30 Treadmill Challenge that was created by Lauren Giraldo (btw go check out her stuff she is awesome, link below:)) I have had this on my list of fitness challenges to try for an embarrassingly long time. The concept is simple for 21 days, 5 days a week, I got on the treadmill, cranked the incline up to 12 and the speed to 3 and I walked for 30 minutes. Do you think this sounds easy? So, did I :( I was wrong.

Most of us are not here for your results. I think most of us come because we think you’re just a great person to spend 15 minutes with❤️

if you decided tomorrow you wanted to gain 100 pounds and switch your fitness goals to become a sumo wrestler, we'd still all be here with you, you're cool and fun and it's not at all about the weight loss for us

The slow raising of the incline was **chef’s kiss**

PT here. About the calf issue: Try a dynamic warm up before the workout and no static stretching. Focus on static stretching after the workout instead. Also, don't just stretch your calf with extended knees, but also with bent knees. Your calf is made up out of 2 muscles: m. gastrocnemius and m. soleus. The soleus is the one that is trained (or stretched) with bent knees. It's also the one that's really the more important one because it's one of the vital muscles that absorbs most of the load (especially during running). You could train your calves eccentrically, research suggest that it promotes muscle mass better than concentric training. And since you're walking at an incline it would be a more functional training. However, there isn't a lot of hard evidence and concentric training works fine just the same. I don't know how much of this you already know and apply, but I hope it helps!
I love your journey, your humor, and always look forward to your vids! :)

I can’t believe Bea doesn’t think she looks different in the before and after pics this week. Guess it just goes to show you don’t always notice your own results

Bea, if you keep ending up hungry while on the 1555 calorie diet, maybe consider eating a little more? Like maybe raising your calories by a 100 or 150, especially if you excercise a lot. There's no point in being unsatisfied and then feeling guilty because you ended up bingeing. I've been in a process of losing weight some time ago and honestly, raising my calories a little was the best thing I could do for myself. It reduced my cravings and the probability of bingeing, I stopped thinking about food so much. Obviously you know yourself best, I'm just a fellow human who struggled with the hungry-binge cycle while trying to get a little healthier. Keep on going girl, good luck!

You need to give yourself more credit. There so many of these where you put up your side by side, I gasp "omg! there, there, and there changed so much!" and then you voice immediately comes on to say "I don't know if there was much change...maybe there was a little bit."

You change more than you think you do! You don't have to be humble or shy about saying "Yeah my thighs toned up!" or "My love handles went down!" Own those changes because they are very clearly there as someone from the outside looking in.

5.8lbs in 21 days is incredible, Bea! You are motivating me to get back on track. 25 pounds down with 35 to go. I feel like I really need to get over the halfway hump to feel confident I can do this!

I'd really like to see you compare the first before picture from when you started the channel to the latest after picture.

As a personal trainer I love and keep coming back because I enjoy the progress Bea has had. Also I like the realness of how a weight loss journey really is. People think it's a straight shot and glamorous with new leggings and cute sport bras. No its messy hair and ache feet and everything in between lol. Bea personality is the cherry on top that makes it different from every other weight loss channel.

a tip for calf soreness - stop doing static stretching before a workout, do a quick warm up before your walk to get the blood flowing, and then focus on static stretches AFTER your workout. too much static stretching before your muscles are warm can lead in further pain and injury! you're killing it though, keep it up! :)

Sometimes the things you say are so silly or odd it surprises me into laughing out loud, not many youtubers actually make me laugh out loud

I love your channel because I feel like its SO FREAKING REAL about what it actually takes to lose weight. Its not quick, its not easy... its consistency and habits. Thanks for reminding me that it CAN BE DONE the real way and that people don't actually take 2 pills and drop 50lbs.

The humor, the sass, the silliness, and...oh yeah, the completely relatable life struggles are why I keep watching. You're my YT bff whether you like it or not. 😂😜🤷🏻‍♀️

At some point you need to do a "How Far I've Come" video. I keep flipping back to your first posted video and it seems you've made dramatic progress. But it would be interesting to see -- and hear -- a direct comparison. Measurements? Stamina? Running speed? Sleep patterns and other health metrics? YOu are an inspiration.
