▶️ A missile hit a crowded train station in eastern Ukraine that was an evacuation point for civilians, killing dozens of people, Ukrainian authorities said Friday.

👉 Ukrainian state railway officials say more than 30 people were killed and 100 were wounded Friday in a Russian rocket attack on a railway station in east Ukraine that was being used to evacuate civilians, as the region readies for another major Russian offensive.

Two rockets are said to have struck the station in Kramatorsk. Reuters reports that the governor of the Donetsk region said thousands of people were at the station trying to leave for safer areas.

The European Union formally enacted more sanctions on Russia Friday, as European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell traveled to Kyiv in a show of support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The new measures include bans on the importation of coal, wood and chemicals and a block on all transactions with four Russian banks.

Russian troops in Ukraine have fully withdrawn from northern Ukraine to Belarus and Russia, Britain’s Defense Ministry said Friday. The intelligence update said some of the forces likely will be deployed to east Ukraine to fight in the Donbas, a Ukrainian region bordering Russia.

Meanwhile, Russia provided its most stark assessment of its invasion, admitting Friday a “tragedy” of rising troop losses and feeling the economic sting from a wide range of sanctions.

The White House called out Friday the “horrific and devastating images” of the train station attack. White House spokeswoman Kate Bedingfield noted in an interview with CNN the U.S. will continue to support Ukraine against Russia’s assault.

Late Thursday Zelenskyy said the situation in the town of Borodianka is worse than that in Bucha. Borodianka is about 60 kilometers northwest of Kyiv. Zelenskyy said “it is significantly more dreadful there. Even more victims from the Russian occupiers.”

Stories of atrocities inflicted on northern Ukrainians by the Russians have emerged, prompting more countries to expand and further tighten sanctions on Russia.

It is ukrainian rocket "Tochka-U". Russia does not use such rockets at all. The rocket was launched from territory controlled by ukrainian forces.

Tochka-U missile system that hit Kramatorsk is only used by the Ukranian military. Russian military decommissioned this system a number of years back.

Per BBC news. "Donetsk regional head Pavlo Kyrylenko accused Russia of using its Iskander short-range ballistic missile with a cluster munitions warhead.

But he later corrected himself, saying that Tochka-U rockets had been used."

Russian military uses Iskander system (Tochka-U successor) while Ukrainian military still uses Tochka-U.

This rocket was launched from INSIDE UKRAINE. BBC cites the UK Ministry of Defence on this. Ukrainian military uses this missile (Tochka U). There is NO EVIDENCE so far it was a Russian launched missile.

That is a Tochka-U booster. Russia hasn't used those kind of missiles in decades.

The Russians have not had a Tochka U in their arsenal since 2019. Only the Ukrainians have these missiles. Even if you happen to have conquered one or the other rocket, you still cannot launch it because you need a suitable vehicle to do so. The missile control is very complicated and this missile is too imprecise. That's why the Russians replaced it with an Iskander.

These are parts of the Tochka-U missile that Russia does not use, but is actively used by Ukraine - more than a dozen launches of the Tochka-u missile were carried out by the Ukrainian army in a month

That's the same type of missile which hit Donetsk a few weeks ago killing 28 civilians. The reason why the propulsion system is still intact is because this carried cluster munitions and not HE. They aren't used by the Russians principally because their signature is so huge, they're easily swatted out of the sky. [Which is what happened in Donetsk, except the motor was hit allowing the cluster munitions to disperse, creating the injuries I have spoken of]. If Ukraine claim to be protecting civilians, where are their surface to air systems to account for these types of attacks? Otherwise, this is yet another false claim. Toshka Rockets are not accurate, this may be a misfire. The chances of this being a Russian attack are very slim indeed

There is no point in arguing and accusing each other, propagating the Ukrainian war, the most important thing is to immediately create peace in Ukraine. However, the problem is that the US and the alliance do not want the war in Ukraine to stop.

They have confused the prospect of peace with all the useless sanctions, rather than being rioters of peace. It is better for the US and its allies to go directly to the battlefield in Ukraine.

Украина давно просит международные силы вмешаться, просит оружия, поэтому именно ей и нужна эскалация. России это не выгодно.
Получается убийцы- власть Украины и Зеленский.

Tochka-U was launched by a missile division of the Armed forces of Ukraine from the Dobropillya area 45 km southwest of Kramatorsk. The tail of the rocket that fell at the intersection of Narodnaya and Shkolnaya streets indicates this direction. Draw a straight line through the place where the shank fell and the place where the warhead fell. The shank falls before the head. You will see the direction for yourself

That is a Tochka-U missile, not used by Russia. That is a Ukrainian missile.

I stand with the Ukrainian people in this conflict, but this is a Ukrainian missile. On the booster, it says “ЗА ДЕТЕЙ”, which means “for the children”, stating that the missile is revenge for the Russian strikes have killed. Yeah, war is hell. Both sides have committed crimes (I’m in no way saying Russia isn’t responsible for the invasion), Ukraine has executed Russian POWs and has now conducted this strike. Such actions are unacceptable, no matter which side they come from. Sadly, there’s nothing we can do about any of this.

It was a missile named "Tochka U "/ "Point U".Such missiles are available in the Ukrainian army. This is proof of the guilt of the Ukrainian army.

What about the claim that Russia doesn't use Tochka-U rockets anymore, only Ukraine? More false information?
We already know they've fired them at the people in Donbass before, so what's true?
