This will show you how to change what a mob/monster spawner spawns. It is a tutorial how to download and a short demo of how to use the spawner GUI mod by Risugami for minecraft 1.4.7.

For some reason when I click on the spawner to bring up the list of all the mobs i could change the spawner to, if I click a different mob i cant confirm it, it just stays as it was originally. I press ESC and othing happens, do you know why this happens?

This is for people who have mac. If you know how to get to .minecraft on windows, (%app data%->.minecraft) then everything is the same in .minecraft. Just go to bin, change minecraft.jar to minecraft.jar.zip, and then use your windows unzipper! The windows standard unzipper only extracts .zip and .rar and what not, but nor .jar
