What is the Jog 3 speed gear wire used for. I just bought one from you?

I love my control but just recidved the grey one and I can't figure out how to get this 4wheeler to drive forward it works great in reverse but the pink learning wire don't seem to do much for me and the reverse clip is only 1 wire so I ran it to ground and still only reverse now I switch blue and green phase wires and it worked but then after shutting off and restarting it it won't work again any suggestions

these controllers are hit and miss, got 2, one good one the other gets really hot and that was tested on the same bike with same voltage.
