dozens of dollars as a tour photographer, i'm dead 😅 an additional suggestion that i do a lot in concert photography is to actually start with split tone adjustments for just the skin and then work backwards from there—sometimes i find it easier to get the skin to that perfect starting place and adjust backward, and you can usually adjust the skin with just light/mid color adjustments in split toning without affecting the rest of the color of the image/the feel of the lighting direction!

I shot Andrew McMahon late last year in Tulsa, OK. It's a shame that the lighting guy lit up the guitarist on the left and put the worst lighting on Andrew! It was a tough shoot.
