MORNING VIEW - CORFU ISLAND,GREECE - PALEOKASTRITSA

We decided to come to Corfu, Greece from Italy with the boat from Bari, Italy, where we actually live. Corfu is a beautiful island in the Ionian Sea, very green and full of amazing beaches, nature, sights and amazing food. The atmosphere is very relaxed and going in mid September will assure you that you won't find big crowds (July-August can be packed). The temperature was always pleasant hovering around 28/30 during the day and the weather was mostly sunny. We choose Paleokastritsa, as the village on the island where to stay. The landscape like most of Greece consists of mountains and sea cliffs with secluded turquoise color beaches completely surrounded by nature. Greek people are really nice, easygoing and Greece will make you feel relaxed in a way that is difficult to describe. We also loved Greek food. Greeks love meat even if they live very close to the sea and pork, chicken or lamb dishes will always be on their menu. You can count on all dishes to have a mountain of French fries that are not even listed on the menu but they are always there and they are delicious. Portions are usually big. Desserts can be very but very sweet and Greek coffee is simply my favorite even if I come from the land of Espresso but don't put sugar in it:)
