The Hamlet of Seldom Seen, Glencoynedale, Cumbria

Показать описание
The hamlet of Seldom Seen consists of ten miners cottages and an old school building hidden up the delightful Glencoyne Dale with its beck that was once the boundary hereabouts of the old counties of Cumberland and Westmorland.

It is said that some artists once entered the glen looking for items of beauty to draw and didn't re-emerge for three weeks!

Thanks for posting. I had wondered why these houses were so far away from the mine.

Glencoyne Farm is a familiar site to visitors but the hamlet is hidden away behind woodlands and below Sheffield Pike.
