I freaking love Peraltiago. And not just in a fanboy-type way. I honestly believe that their relationship is one of the best and well-handled ones of all time. It's not forced down our throaths and is rarely the main focus of an episode except for few ones. I even thought at first it was gonna be one of those will-they? wont-they? scenarios we've seen a million times now but it wasn't, and thank God it wasn't. The writers knew exactly what they were doing and they made one of the best relationships in all of fiction. Period.

One of my favourite things about this scene is that when they’re laughing about Jakes throw and Amy trying to catch the nut in her mouth, the laugh sounds so genuine, like Andy and Melissa are laughing for real and it adds to the scene so much.

The cute thing here is that in this moment is just the realization for Jake that Amy means something more than a friend. I mean, before this episode we can see the conection between them so hard (ex. Episode 4, he just ruined his date to tease her).

The way they laugh doesn’t feel forced at all. I feel like over the course of the show, their relationship is really shown to be very natural and like they’re genuinely having fun - both the characters and the actors - and that’s hard to achieve when the chemistry isn’t right or the writing is off. Jake and Amy over Ross and Rachel any day.
