Scientists don't know exactly how the larva of the Reclinervellus nielseni wasp mind-controls spiders into building a special web to protect it but they do know that they eat their hosts and steal their webs.

What I find terrifying is that if mind-controlling powers exist in nature, sometime, somehow, humans might learn how to adapt that power for themselves. I find a weapon capable of taking over my mind a lot more frightening than bombs or guns.
