This guy is wrong about people being able to go out and buy groceries. That’s totally false. None of us can go out except for testing. The only way to get groceries is through coordinating a massive bulk order.

What is he talking about? No one is allowed out of their apartment. Temporary walls have been placed around residential buildings so no one can leave. No one can go outside to buy groceries. Everyone, even the wealthy, are struggling to get food. This guy is in Beijing, he doesn't even know what's going on in Shanghai.

People in Shanghai are starving because of the unpredictable extensions of the lockdowns. People in Shanghai are suffering from no adequate medical services. SOS messages have been spreading on the Chinese social media but they have been quickly erased and blocked by the government.

Pets are being killed and elders are been left unattended.

It’s like a hell in Shanghai. Many people don’t have basic food supplies to survive! Most importantly, nobody knows when this will end.

Worst person to interview, him being in Beijing he has no idea what is happening in Shanghai... we are forced to be in lockdown in our homes, we are unable to even have a walk in our private communities. Our dogs are unable to go out for walks, we are only allowed out for daily covid-testings, which last less then 10 minutes until we are forced to go back home. We have no access to our usual supermarket platforms, food take-away, and there has been a shortage of food access. We have to wake up at 5-6am everyday, going on apps to try to secure food, but many times is useless as food is very limited. Even if you have money it doesn't matter, food is limited.

He obviously knows nothing. They are not allowed out at all. Not for groceries, not to walk the dog...nothing.

All the pets been asked to executed if their owner ever been tested positive! Image someone break into your place and beat your pet to death

We cannot leave our apartments in Shanghai at all. No grocery stores are open. We cannot get food for over a week now.

I am from Shanghai and the government has sealed us off for almost 20 days without food supply to maintain our basic lives. We are starving to death simply for this mistake made by the government

I'm on day 23 of the Shanghai quarantine. We can leave our building, but not the grounds of our apartment. There was a three hour window in that time that we could go out to buy food. We are fortunate in that we are getting all the food that we need, even coffee, this is not going to end for a long time. A reasonable prediction is July. To be clear; I'm grateful that I didn't have to deal with the first waves of the virus.

How was she before? Was she fit, was she healthy?? What does she eat?? Does she drink water and take herbs and supplements?? … or did she have an unhealthy lifestyle? Not everyone is affected by covid, so start reporting on preventative health measures, because this is getting embarrassing.

Western media - people can’t leave their homes.

Western media - shows people stocking up in the supermarkets.

A bit contradictory huh

The lady's accent is too Australian to be authentic to be currently in Shanghai; I wonder.

As someone who had experienced Melbourne’s lockdown before, I would say the lockdown in Melbourne isn’t harsh at all when compared to the lockdown in Shanghai. Here, confined to your apartment, no delivery foods, need to wake up early for groceries delivery (also securing a delivery slot isn’t always viable), almost no lockdown financial assistance for individuals like Job Keepers. Luckily I can work from home.

Stop reporting and fear mongering. We are sick of it. The damage you do to mental health for the elderly is more deadly.
