It is mathmatically IMPOSSIBLE that life doesn't exist on another planet SOMEWHERE. I am convinced that there is intelligent life somewhere else in the vastness space. To answer the question posed...Have we looked long enough? I don't think it's that. Given the distances between stars, we just haven't found them YET. And it may be another century or two before we have the technology to find them. It's a time and space issue with respect to the incomprehensible distances between stars and galaxies.

I dunno… I reckon they should be confident in also stating that it’s possible our existence was an oddity, due to very unique specific circumstances. That is very unlikely to be replicated by another solar system, with totally different components and environment to begin with.

Looking at how Mars was in the habitable zone. It’s far more likely life on Mars became more advanced than we are and traveled here before their planets atmosphere fell away. Maybe the pyramids, religions, wisdom and philosophies came from past civilizations on Mars and then covered up with the layers of dirt from meteors. Old structures made by larger beings with means to build structures and directed at the stars where they wanted to go or came from.
