U.S. delivers written responses to Russia's demands

The United States has sent written responses to Russia over their grievances. NATO and the U.S. are preparing for Russia to potentially invade Ukraine with bolstered supplies. CBS News correspondent Christina Ruffini joins "Red & Blue" with the latest.

The NATO pact in 2021 has 30 member countries who asked to join the alliance and had to be voted on by the members to join. At the height of the “Cold War” the Warsaw pact had 8 members who were forced to join by the former USSR; now Russia fights alone. The very reason the former members of the USSR, who are now independent countries, ask to join the NATO alliance is being shown by Russia by their belligerence and aggression against an independent country. If Russia wanted to defuse the Ukrainian Russian separatist conflict in Ukraine, they could allow the ethnic Ukrainian Russians to move back into Russia if they don‘t want to live under Ukrainian rule. Russia has more then enough land in their country and doesn’t need to take lands from Ukraine.
