SNAP Challenge 2018

From June 11 to June 15, members of Team GBFB and people all across Massachusetts are participating in a "SNAP Challenge" in support of the 42 million Americans who use the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly food stamps) every month.

For one week, participants will live on the average individual SNAP allowance in Massachusetts ($4.56 per day, $22.80 total) to purchase everything they eat and drink for the week.

The SNAP Challenge will give participants a glimpse of what it’s like to struggle with affording a healthy diet on a limited budget.
