Strength. Grit. Determination. Endurance. That’s what it takes to be a Top Trooper.
DPS is excited to host our 12th annual Top Trooper Competition this week, and everyone is bringing their A game. During the multi-day competition, Troopers are tested on driving and firearms skills, physical conditioning, endurance and job knowledge.
At the end, one male and one female Trooper will earn the Javier Arana Top Trooper Award. This award is named after fallen Trooper Javier Arana Jr. who participated in the inaugural competition.
