Paused over the floor with the guns. Mrs Eats was just getting excited by the pineapple grenade.

My uncle went to Japan with his National Guard unit in the late eighties. He brought my dad some model kits that were 1:1 scale replicas of WWII hand grenades.

The models were so detailed that you could unscrew the igniter and see how the weapon worked IRL.

They were one each Japanese defensive grenade and U.S. smoke grenade, as well as two German grenades - the infamous potato masher and a small offensive grenade called a Goose Egg for it's size and shape.

Offensive grenades are made with a shrapnel range less than their throwing range.

Defensive grenades means that the fragments of shrapnel will fly over your position and, therefore can hit people who are attacking your foxhole while you huddle in it.
