I got this mixer for Christmas and I couldn't be happier with it!

Love this mixer. My previous job and current one both have the 8 qt. commercial mixer. It takes a beating and continues to stand up to all the work we put it through. It's labeled "commercial" because it's NSF certified, meaning the health dept. will let you keep it in your shop. But it doesn't mean you should expect it to handle ridiculous amounts of bread doughs, cookie doughs, etc. Like everything else there are limits, and with this machine you need to find out it's limits. I have mixed some bread doughs with this machine and it worked out great. I'm even thinking of getting one for myself, after my 4.5 qt dies, but who knows when that will be.... 17 years and still running strong.

I have the 8qt commercial mixer anybody having a problem using a kitchenaid mixer most likely needs some training/experience using it. It took a using it a couple of times to get the hang of using a professional piece of equipment don't believe the negative comments about a well made product. Must be from Hamilton beach employees

Just got mine the other day after returning the 5qrt to Sams Club because the motor sounded horrible (I still have my 4qrt classic for 20+years)...Learning to like the lever vs the tilt head but why oh why have a power hub if we arent supposed to use our accessories with it??!!

I have always had little ( tiny) problems with my kitchen aid commercial mixer ( changing out the accessories) and now that I have moved and misplaced the accessories, it is a nightmare ( "moving company" problems).
My $2, 500- 20 year old kitchen Aid is about to be thrown out as junk. I have not been able to find accessory replacements.

BEWARE ALL YOU POTENTIAL PURCHASERS. I have been told by people that own the new models that they are junk. I have always loved, loved, loved mine. I bragged on it and was the envy of my friends. Who's laughing now? It's not me. I am afraid to waste money on a new one.
