Even though the M is hard to get, it's literally not worth the 30k. Though it is a nice bike, it is way more bulky than the S1k. And for 30, 90% of the time you wont be pushing it to its full potential to get your 30k worth. Just like people who own ninja H2s almost never see its full potential. Its more of a status symbol

Well if you add up the price of all the upgraded parts on the M version vs the normal RR it's actually a lot more than the M series asking price. Now does anyone need carbon wheels, carbon body work, Akra exhaust, race tune, M series brakes/rearsets, etc for the street? Probably not. If you can afford to buy either it makes more sense to by the M. It will also retain it's resale value more than the RR.

Nice review, Both are good, if I have the money to buy one, I will buy s1000rr m package first, then later buy m1000rr, but if they ask me to pick one and buy for me, I will pick m1000rr

I wish BMW kept the asymmetrical eyes and fairings - I prefer the old HP4 look.

Like to know where you buy yours, my red one, premium package forged wheels was 25k. The blk basic model you'll pay just under 20k. The m is 40k out the door and that's EVERYWHERE in the USA

I just bought a 2024 s1k with the race and premium package for $24k. The only difference is my bike has the electronic suspension and none of the carbon fiber crap. And comes with forged wheels and the 200 wide rear tire.

Basically you paying double the price for a "slightly" increased compression ratio wich equals like 4 more hp or w.e. a "slightly" bigger back tire and about 10 lbs or w.e lighter.. what a RIP off!!

I wish I would have just bought the M1000RR. I have more money in the S than what the M would've cost.

The s1000rr with the carbon wheels and M package come in at little over $31k with tax license and registration, while the M tops at $43k, this in San Diego, ca. I love my S1000RR, I will never be able to unleash all its power, much less the M. They are both hard to get, the dealer rarely have them for more than a week, I waited for one for months, especially with the carbon wheels.

Forgot to mention that the 2023+ S model shares the same cylinder head and airbox as the M. Many aspects of the 2020-2022 M1000RR have been transferred onto the 2023+ S1000RR.

Same idea of the original hp4's tech being transfered onto the 2015+ S1000RR.

Titanium makes all the difference. Forged Pistons, Lighter and stronger = an engine that can take whatever you give it.
