A good example of what can be done with competent bass playing....even on a Squier. Not that Squiers are bad instruments; my bass is a Squier. They just aren't Fenders, and does it matter...perhaps not! Thanks Josh!

It's funny, all the cover vids of this song contain the little quirks and blips of Verdine's bass line. I think it got away from him (Verdine) during this recording but it's not apparent in the full mix but you can especially hear it in the isolated bass track recording. lol

Hey, this is a great cover! I just finished transcribing this one myself and I'm quite confused about something and maybe you can help me out. In the verse, where you're hitting that G#, right before the open E, I've been hearing it as an A. Even when I listened to the isolated bass track, that G# sounded like an A to me. I've been racking my brain about it. Would love to hear your thoughts on this!
