I appreciate that the 90's rex is styled after 90's paleoart rather than the usual Jurassic Park design that's used. Great video!

For those who don't know, they were originally designed with 3 claws on each hand because a more complete skeleton wasn't discovered yet. So, they had to estimate based off other dinosaurs like the Allosaurus, which had 3 claws.

Thank you for not using the JP T. rex in the 90s section lol.
Jurassic Park did revolutionize Dinosaurs for a ton of people.
But it still wasn't paleoart.

This was a nice watch, seeing the way our perception of these animals changes throughout the years
will never get old to me. Especially because it likely won't ever stop. I might have problems
with the way dinosaurs are handled in pop culture. But i have deep respect for early paleoart. And speaking of. I was not expecting
the nostalgia gut punch seeing all the artwork from the 2000s and 2010s in the background lol.

Stumpy was easily my favorite rex here, his cool skull design truly fits him so well, and when you look into his backstory, it’s pretty wild!

I love how you can see the animal gets progressively more intimidating with time as its reconstructions became more accurate. I know a lot of people say modern reconstructions aren't scary but I honestly think the opposite is true for T. rex. I am sure some animals do get less scary with time, but T. rex went from a big lizard to a nightmare fueled terror bird.

Took T rex 100 years to get its lips back after 1920s version lmao. Ironically the one thing that original derpier design got more right than nearly everything after it.
