Is it acceptable practice to put an amalgum filling through a gold crown ? I had this done when a root canal was done on the tooth I had a gold crown on.

Should restoration/core build up be done first and then to go for crown preparation or, the exact opposite shown here?

This wrong you need to restore the tooth from any caries then core buildup then preparation
